Various wheelwrights worked on Texel. Some of this can be experienced in our vehicle workshop with original tools, tools, molds and moulds.

Cooperation with blacksmith

They made three-wheeled dung carts, wheelbarrows, hay wagons and carriages, but also a goat wagon for the children of a wealthy sheep farmer. They didn't hitch a goat, but a sheep for it. Blacksmiths and wheelwrights always worked together: the blacksmiths made the iron bands around the wheels of the wheelwright and supplied all the ironwork.
